Rental terms & policies
Plain-language terms for renting from Rudi Baby. If anything is unclear, message us before you book — we'd rather explain it twice.
Deposits
- •Every rental carries a flat refundable deposit of KES 2,000, whatever you rent. It is paid before delivery through our secure Paystack link at paystack.shop/pay/korababy (card or M-Pesa).
- •The deposit is returned in full after we collect the item and confirm it is in good, clean, working condition — usually within 48 hours of pickup.
- •The deposit is not rent and is never used toward your rental fee.
Damage & loss
- •Ordinary wear from everyday use is expected and never charged.
- •If an item is damaged beyond normal wear, we deduct the cost of repair from the deposit and share the quote with you first.
- •If an item is lost, unreturned or damaged beyond repair, the full replacement value is charged; the deposit is applied toward it and any balance is invoiced.
- •Items must be returned with all accessories they arrived with (rain covers, inserts, trays, chargers).
Delivery & pickup
- •We deliver and collect across Nairobi, seven days a week, by arrangement.
- •Inner zone (Westlands, Parklands, Kilimani, Lavington, Kileleshwa, South B, South C, Nairobi West): KES 500 each way.
- •Outer zone (Karen, Langata, Runda, Gigiri, Muthaiga, Thika Road, Kasarani and similar): KES 800 each way.
- •Outside these areas, we'll quote before confirming. Pickup is scheduled the same way as delivery.
Minimum rental period
- •The minimum rental is one week for single items and two weeks for bundles.
- •Rentals run from the delivery date. Weekly rentals renew weekly; monthly rentals renew every 30 days.
- •To extend, message us before your period ends. Extensions are subject to availability.
Cancellations
- •You can cancel a request at any time before delivery at no cost — a request is not a booking.
- •If you cancel after paying but before delivery, the deposit and rental are refunded in full.
- •If you end a rental early, we collect the item and refund any unused full weeks; part weeks are not refunded.
Safety & hygiene
- •All gear is cleaned and safety-checked between rentals. Car seats involved in any accident are retired permanently.
- •Please use each item according to its manufacturer instructions, which we supply with delivery.
